These guitars are inspired by the early Martin D28 herringbone models of the late 1930s and early 1940s with Adirondack spruce tops, rear-shifted bracing, cold-rolled steel t-bar truss rods, and Waverly tuners.. They are loud, well-balanced guitars with especially good projection in the upper register, particularly well-suited for playing bluegrass leads and rhythm.
